K.C. Veio

After 13 years of working at large law firms, including nearly 10 years at Brownstein Hyatt & Farber where he was Chair of the Public Finance Department, in June of 2004, Veio co-founded Kline Alvarado Veio, P.C. with long-time friends and colleagues, Brent Kline and Rob Alvarado.  Their firm specializes in representing commercial and public sector clients in various transactional contexts, including tax-exempt financings.

In addition to his professional work, Veio enjoys giving back to the community that has given him so much.  Governor Bill Owens twice appointed him to the Board of the Colorado Educational and Cultural Facilities Authority with Governor Bill Ritter reappointing Veio to that Board.  Denver Mayor John Hickenlooper appointed him to be a Commissioner of the Denver Public Library (where he eventually served two years as President of the Library Commission).  Mayor Guillermo Vidal appointed Veio to serve on the Denver Planning Board, a position he held until 2014 when Mayor Michael Hancock appointed Veio to serve as a Commissioner of the Denver Urban Renewal Authority, a position he continues to hold.

A native of Denver, Veio lives in the city with his partner, David Orlovsky.
