A Community investment: The New Southwest Family Health Center

Outpatient community health centers are the most cost-effective way to provide basic, primary health to people who don't have private health insurance. Denver Health is the largest provider of care for the underserved in Denver and we operate the largest community health network in the nation. Over the last fifty years, we have created a system of eight neighborhood health clinics spanning the city of Denver to reach people in need, making medical care available and affordable for more than 100,000 patients each year. But today, the people with the greatest need for health care services live in Southwest Denver, and our network isn't reaching them. Until now.
Denver Health is building a new Southwest Family Health Center, and is poised to make a tremendous difference in expanding health care access and improving health outcomes in West Denver. The new 45,000 square-foot clinic will offer comprehensive primary and preventative care for patients of all ages and include; Family Medicine Doctors and Primary Care, an Urgent Care Clinic, Women's Health Services, WIC Food and Nutrition Services, Mental Health Services, Pediatric Care, Dental Care, Laboratory Services, Full-Service Pharmacy, Radiology, and Enrollment Services.
To be responsive to the community's cultural make-up, we'll staff the new clinic with multi-lingual, multi-ethnic health care professionals and support staff experienced in service to diverse populations. We'll also provide insurance enrollment services, patient navigators and social workers at the new clinic, because Denver Health knows that these wraparound services are an essential part of providing high-quality care for vulnerable populations.
