$500,000 Helps Employees Facing Financial Hardship

June 15, 2020

Maintaining the physical and mental health of our workforce was crucial to Denver Health’s COVID-19 response. Doctors, nurses, EMTs, environmental service staff, and other frontline staff are worked long, exhausting shifts, exposing themselves to the virus and presenting them with the agonizing choice of being separated from their family members or putting them at risk. The past few months brought an intensity to their work that few have experienced.

Many needed immediate help to provide support, such as childcare, for their homebound families. With generous donations from community members, we are also able to deploy evidence-based models such as RISE (Resiliency in Stressful Events) to address the emotional toll this crisis had on our frontline providers. Additionally, we were able to devote resources to provide for the financial needs of any caregivers experiencing difficulties.

Thank you for supporting our team as they worked relentlessly to care for our community during this unprecedented time!
