9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.
If you’re a parent, you probably remember how much you fussed about your baby’s impending arrival, stocking up on the right diapers and getting a bunch of new clothes. Now imagine that you’re about to have a baby, and you don’t even know how you’ll make next month’s rent. That reality makes it awfully hard to enjoy this special time. Our Newborns in Need program comes to the rescue for these families who are struggling to make ends meet. During a one-day citywide donation drive, we collect thousands of new baby items to fill our Warm Welcome bags. Then we give the bags to new moms and dads who really need and appreciate this extra help. Your donation helps us to ensure these Warm Welcome bags continue to arrive for the growing number of families in need.
The following NEW baby items are essential to the program:
• Disposable diapers (size 1 or 2)
• Baby wipes
• Baby wash, shampoo, lotion
• Blankets
• Onesies, undershirts, sleepers, sweaters, outfits
• Newborn socks and bibs
• Nursing supplies (pads, cream, etc.)
• Baby ear thermometers
• Baby picture books
• Infant toys
• Umbrella strollers
• Convertible car seats
• Cribs and crib sheets
Please note that all items must be NEW, and please no bottles or formula.
You may drop off new baby items from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at:
Denver Health Medical Center
301 W. 6th Avenue (near Bannock Street)
Denver, CO 80204
Look for the baby shower balloons!
If you can't attend the event, cash donations can be made at King Soopers stores during the month of May.
