Shelley Thompson
Director of Major Gifts

Shelley works in health care philanthropy because she believes that health, along with education, is foundational to any other success in life. She wants to help people access and maintain good health so they can lead fulfilling lives in this great country of opportunity, and uses her career to contribute to delivering on the American dream.

Shelley has 20 years of experience building relationships and raising money for a broad variety of organizations, both locally and nationally. She has been fortunate to work at the Women’s Foundation of Colorado, Outward Bound USA, Denver Museum of Nature & Science, the Colorado Community College System, Centura Health and Denver Center for the Performing Arts. Shelley has raised millions in support of education and other causes.

Shelley served on the Englewood School Board and is a member of the 2015 Leadership Denver class. She serves on the Boards of Cleo Parker Robinson Dance and Mi Casa Resource Center.  She is a member of the President’s Leadership Council at the Denver Museum of Nature and Science. She has a bachelor’s degree in politics & government from the University of Puget Sound and a master’s degree in political science from the University of Colorado.
