Dayana joined the Denver Health Foundation after experiencing Denver Health services firsthand. After struggling with a chronic illness and having no insurance, Denver Health provided her with the excellent care she needed to get back on her feet. She is incredibly proud to work for the same organization that supports the exceptional care she received at Denver Health.
Dayana works with the grants team to support project teams at Denver Health with post-award tasks including the coordination of contracts and awards for execution and ensuring funder reporting requirements are met.
Dayana has a Bachelor’s in Health Education and Health Promotion from Arizona State University and is a Certified Health Education Specialist. During college, Dayana interned with a variety of non-profit organizations and gained a skill set in grant writing and grant management. Dayana will start her Master’s in Public Health at the Colorado School of Public Health in August 2021 with a concentration in Health Systems, Management, and Policy, which will further sharpen her skills in non-profit management.
