Dr. Nancy Gary is a Founding Director of Gary Community Investment Company and The Piton Foundation. She completed her Master’s Child Health Associate degree with a specialty in ambulatory pediatrics at the University of Colorado’s Medical School and worked for the Child Protection Team at the Kempe Center for the Prevention and Treatment of Child Abuse and Neglect. Recognizing that the children she encountered had unmet psychosocial needs, Nancy returned to school to earn her doctorate in clinical child psychology from the University of Denver and then dedicated her career to providing physical and mental health support to children and families through her Denver-based practice. With her husband, Sam, Nancy guided the work of The Piton Foundation to focus on Colorado children and families in need.

She currently sits on the board for the Mental Health Center of Denver, the Arvada Center for the Arts and Humanities, and the Institute for Children’s Mental Health.
