Denver Health Foundation Welcomes New Grants Staff

Denver Health Foundation is pleased to announce the addition of two new staff members to focus on fundraising from private foundations in support of Denver Health’s impactful programs. Read below to learn more about their backgrounds and how they’ll be impacting the Denver Health Foundation and Denver Health.

Courtney Foy-Baldwin, Grants Administrator, joined the Denver Health Foundation in December 2018 after moving from Kansas City. She has worked in nonprofit development for several years, serving most recently as the Director of Development and Marketing at Kansas City Community Gardens. Courtney is experienced in building relationships with funders and creating compelling proposals, making her a great fit for pre-award grant administration activities. She is excited to be responsible for handling communications with private foundations, so please contact her at if you have any questions.

Courtney holds a Bachelor of Sociology degree from the University of Kansas and a Graduate Certificate of Grantsmanship from the University of Missouri.

Christopher Mena, Development Associate, has been with Denver Health for six years. Prior to joining the Foundation, Christopher worked at the Rocky Mountain Poison and Drug Center, providing exposure information to callers, and then transitioned to the Drug Center to work on development projects. Christopher is experienced in creating and editing reports, making him a perfect fit for his new position. Christopher will be responsible for post-award grant administration duties, including shepherding grant agreements and reporting on funded projects.
