Venezuelan Amputee Walks After Losing Legs in Subway Accident

Zarividz “Zaza” Camacho lost both of her legs eight years ago in a subway accident in Venezuela. Staff at Denver Health’s Amputee Clinic are helping her to walk again after she was confined to a wheelchair. Camacho, a hospitality student at Denver University, has been in physical therapy here for two months. Preemies Become Superheroes for Halloween

Premature babies became superheroes in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit Wednesday. NICU staff, and four-week-old Wolverine baby Jorge, threw on their capes for the pre-Halloween celebration. More than two-dozen babies born prematurely and in need of special care are currently in the staff’s care. Rehab Doctor Helps Guatemalan Amputees to Walk

Dr. Susan Ladley is helping amputees to regain their mobility—but not just at Denver Health.
