Thank you to those who joined us at the 8th Annual Hot Rocks Griller Challenge. Because of your support, our goal of $130,000 was surpassed and $136,000 was raised for Men’s Health at Denver Health. We are grateful to our incredible presenting sponsors Michael and Iris Smith along with Spicy Hot Sponsors Alpine Bank, Wendy and Steve Cohen, and PCL Construction.
Fourteen of Denver’s top chefs brought their A-games once again, with Troy Guard of TAG/Guard & Grace winning both the chef vote and the popular vote. Paul Reilly of Beast + Bottle took second place in the coveted chef vote, with newcomer Trevor Gaughn of Russell’s Smokehouse an inch behind. Goose Sorenson of Solera took second place in the popular guest vote, with Trevor Gaughn taking third.
Our spectacular father/son trio of co-chairs, Steve, Ethan, and Josh Demby were nothing short of remarkable in their leadership of the event. They poured a significant amount of time and resources into ensuring the event’s success, and made it clear that all three of them deeply care about the mission of Denver Health, and the work we do for our community.
The Hot Rocks Griller Challenge supports the Urology Clinic at Denver Health, long known as one of the preeminent Urology programs in the country. Under the leadership of Dr. Fernando Kim, it attracts patients from around the world with innovative use of digital imaging and minimally invasive surgical approaches to prostate, kidney and bladder cancer. Because of donors like you, they will continue their award-winning research to advance diagnosis and targeted therapy for these diseases.
Thank you again for your generosity and for being part of our lives! To see pictures of the evening, please like us on Facebook and click here.
