N. (Mode) The French saw it as audacious, and someone exclaimed in a French newspaper review: “a la mode", "How Modern! How Fashionable!”
Denver Health Foundation’s second annual MODE fashion show, held on September 22, was a remarkable evening of great food, drink and fashion. During the cocktail hour, over 200 guests were treated to bites from City Bakery, Guard and Grace, Jing and Shanahan’s.
For the main event – over 60 fashion forward looks went down the runway from some of Denver’s most notable retailers, including: Armitage & McMillan, Frinje , Heloise, Kaitlyn Collective, MODA Man, WinterKids and WinterWomen.
Between shows, emcees Karen Vega of Entravision and Lauren Whitney of CBS4 thanked the crowd for supporting MODE, and participating in the fundraising for Child and Adolescent Behavioral Health Services at Denver Health. With the help of guests, donors and sponsors like Colorado Rockies Baseball Club and Kendra Scott, MODE raised over $27,000!
These funds will be used to fill a crucial gap in research on how to adequately treat mental health concerns in children. Since most behavioral health issues begin during childhood and adolescence, researching appropriate methods of treatment will make a world of difference in helping these children achieve stable and healthy lives before it is too late.
The fundraising doesn’t end after the event! Gifts to support Child and Adolescent Behavioral Health Services can still be made through the Denver Health Foundation website, or mailed to our offices.
