In 2006 the Level One Society Board of Directors was established as an affiliated Board to the Denver Health Foundation.  The mission of the Level One Society is to elevate the perception of Denver Health while developing alternative revenue streams and resources to support the mission of Denver Health.  The vision of the Level One Society is to “build community” around Denver Health.  This community will serve as the foundation for outreach and education and the growth of philanthropy needed to support Denver Health.

Since its inception the Level One Society has attracted numerous new members and an additional 25 volunteers on various committees.  The targeted demographic for Board membership is young up-and-coming business leaders who are driven to improve their communities. 

In addition to this inaugural event, the Level One Society has identified the following initiatives: 1) Special Events/ Individual Outreach 2) Strategic Partnerships/Community Outreach 3) Cause marketing/Corporate Outreach 4) Public Relations/ Marketing 5) Social Enterprise.  Existing members of the Level One Society Board of Directors provide leadership to each of these initiatives and are actively recruiting additional people who are interested in contributing their time, treasure and talent to these efforts in support of Denver Health.  The Level One Society is chaired by dedicated Marti Awad, Merrill Lynch.
