SUPPORT YOUR FAVORITE RUNNER AND HELP BUY CAR SEATS FOR DENVER HEALTH’s NEWBORNS IN NEED
In Denver, when you dial 911, you're calling the Denver Health Paramedics. The distinctive orange and blue ambulances respond to automobile accidents, alcohol intoxication, psychiatric emergencies, falls and chest pain. They transport hundreds of patients each year with penetrating trauma (gunshots or stab wounds) and blunt trauma injuries (car crashes, and ski accidents). They respond to 80,000 calls annually for emergency medical assistance.
The Denver Health Paramedics are forming multiple relay teams to participate in the 2013 Colfax Marathon. On May 19th, we will be putting as many teams as possible on the course to run and represent the Division. Runners are being asked to raise $100 each to provide car seats through the Denver Health Foundation’s Newsborns in Need Program for low-income families who cannot afford to buy them.
