Yvette Pita Frampton
Community Leader
Yvette’s connection to Denver Health started when she volunteered as an interpreter. “I found that helping the patients and medical staff communicate made an enormous difference in a patient’s outlook. Personally, I can’t imagine going to a doctor’s office where I couldn’t clearly communicate my needs,” she said. “The fact that so many DH patients speak only Spanish brought me to this hospital, in particular. I wanted to go where I could make the biggest impact.”Her work as an interpreter led her to join the DH Volunteer Association Board where she served as President from 2004 - 2009. In January 2005, the Volunteer Services Department became part of the Foundation and Yvette, who believes it is important to keep an open line of communication between the two areas, is happy to serve as liaison.
Yvette is a documentary filmmaker, and along with husband Chris, raises her two young daughters. In addition to serving on the Denver Health Foundation Board, she also serves on the board of the Level One Society of the Denver Health Foundation, is Past-President of the Denver Health Volunteer Association Board and volunteers for Project C.U.R.E.
