Paula Herzmark has served as the Executive Director of the Denver Health Foundation since July 2004, after serving as the Chair of the Board of Directors for the Denver Health and Hospital Authority for the previous 8 years.  Ms. Herzmark brings a wealth of experience to the Denver Health Foundation; serving over 10 years as the Chief Executive Officer of the Robert E. Loup Jewish Community Center where she managed the activities, programs and operations of the $10 million per year Center.  Prior to this position, Ms. Herzmark spent eight years in the cable television industry, serving for over six years as the President, and Chief Executive Officer of Prime Time Cable Corporation, a private cable television company.  She served in Governor Richard D. Lamm’s cabinet as the Executive Director of the Colorado Department of Local Affairs for five years, after having served as the Governor’s Legislative Liaison.  Ms. Herzmark’s numerous administrative and leadership positions have offered her unique opportunities to understand the intricacies of fundraising and positioning the Denver Health Foundation to achieve positive outcomes.  Ms. Herzmark has a master’s degree in Public Administration from the University of Texas and a BA in Political Science.

Ms. Herzmark is currently a Commissioner on the Denver Water Board of Directors and has served on the Board of Opera Colorado, and on numerous other boards in the community including The Rocky Mountain Heart Consortium, Stapleton Foundation, Denver Judicial Nominating Commission, Rocky Mountain Planned Parenthood, The Listen Foundation, Central City Opera Association and the Colorado Legal Care Society.
