Amanda Maestas is Denver Health's Volunteer Coordinator.  Amanda was born in California, but raised in Denver since the age of two.   She worked for US WEST Communications for 20 years and then worked for the Sheridan School District for five years.  A five-year Denver Health employee, Amanda started in the School Based Health Centers and after 10 months transferred to Volunteer Services.   As a life-long volunteer herself, Amanda has developed strong intuitive skills needed for training hundreds of Denver Health's adult volunteers.  She has also mentored dozens of high-school students, giving them valuable on-the-job experiences that are crucial to their later success in life.  She is the mother of a grown daughter.
