Zee Ferrufino, who has been a member of the Denver Health Foundation Board of Directors since 2001, became involved because, "Denver Health is one of the few hospitals that have continuously provided services to the poor and uninsured in our city. I understand this represents a financial liability; however, it speaks well of the many doctors, nurses and other healthcare professionals who show a high degree of care and commitment to their profession."
Zee is owner and chief executive officer of KBNO Radio in Denver, KXRE in Colorado Springs and KAVA in Pueblo. He is a co-founder of the Hispanic Chamber of Commerce and sits on its board of directors. Zee has served, and continues to serve, on the boards of several local nonprofit organizations. He is also founder of the Robby Ferrufino Memorial Fund, which helps children with cancer. Over the years, Zee has received many honors and awards including the Daniel Ritchie Ethics in Business Award.
